“I started with Coach Justin VanBeek before he opened CrossFit Hydro—a few years back when he was the strength and conditioning coach for the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I committed to individual training sessions with Justin and when he opened CrossFit Hydro, I joined. Justin coaches to get results and CrossFit training provides the variety and challenge that I like. When I go to the gym, my goal is to give 100 percent even if the workout consists of movements that aren’t my favorite like overhead lifts. Rowing, hand-stand push ups and kettle bell swings are my favorite movements to see in a workout. No matter what we’re doing, I sometimes still get nervous before a workout.”
